Q1: What temperature does the mat reach?

A: The mat warms soil 10°F–20°F above ambient room temperature. At a room temp of 68°F, the mat maintains soil temperature at approximately 78°F–88°F, which is ideal for most vegetable and herb seed germination. It does not have a thermostat – it maintains a consistent heat output.

Q2: Is this mat waterproof?

A: Yes.The surface is waterproof and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. However, do NOT immerse the mat or submerge the power cord connection in water. Designed for indoor use only.

Q3: Does it come with a thermostat?

A: No. This is the basic version without thermostat. For temperature-sensitive seeds or precise control, we recommend our Thermostat Combo version (separate listing) or purchasing a compatible thermostat separately. We can also bundle thermostats at package pricing for bulk orders.

Q4: What size tray does it fit?

A: The 10×20in size fits one standard 1020 nursery tray. The 20×20in fits two 1020 trays side by side. The 48×20in fits four 1020 trays in a row. Custom sizes are available for non-standard trays.

Q5: What plug types are available?

A: US plug (standard), EU plug, UK plug, AU plug, and JP plug. Please specify when ordering. Voltage: 110V for US/JP, 220V for EU/UK/AU. Both voltages available for all sizes.

Q6: Can I use this for reptiles or brewing?

A: Yes. The mat works perfectly for reptile terrariums (under-tank heating) and homebrewing/fermentation (maintaining fermentation temperature). When used for reptiles, we recommend adding a thermostat for precise temperature control.

Q7: Is the mat foldable or rollable?

A: Yes. The PVC material is flexible and can be rolled up for storage. Do NOT fold sharply as this may damage the internal heating element.
